The International Union of the Francophone Press, partner of the Agoras for journalism

The International Union of the Francophone Press is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) recognized by major international organizations such as the UN, UNESCO and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF).

The UPF brings together more than 3,000 journalists, managers and editors from the print and broadcast media. They are located in 110 countries or regions of the world.

Since 1950, it organizes, each year, on the occasion of the Francophonie Summit, the International Francophone Press Conference, in the hosting country. This year, the 47th International Francophone Press Conference was held in Yerevan, Armenia, on the theme of “Media and Migration”.

The International Union of the Francophone Press is a historical and privileged partner of the International Journalism Forum.

In 2020, the International Francophone Press Conference will be held in Tunis in association with the organization of the next International Journalism Conference in Tunis.
