Presentation of the Media Freedom Act

What is the impact of European legislation on the practice of journalism in Europe? The issue will be at the heart of our discussions on Friday 25 November.

On Friday 25 November, Věra Jourová, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Values and Transparency, will present the Media Freedom Act to the participants of the first edition of the European Journalism Days in Brussels. This is a major bill for the future of journalism in Europe. As it begins its examination in the European Parliament, it is essential that information professionals in the 27 EU countries take it up and make their voices heard.
